Again, sorry for the delay in posting October’s Brand Showcase of the Month, but this one’s worth the wait.
Metric Integra is an architecture and construction studio based in Barcelona, Spain, who has been given a clever branding treatment by Barcelona’s Lo Siento Studio. The logo itself is clever enough, but the way in which the Metric aspect is presented across the media is brilliant. Simple, eye-catching and presumably photographed from real-life setups (although Photoshop could have played a part), the measuring tape / ruler spells the lettering from Metric in what could be called a custom font.
As you can see from the above image, the logo is certainly decent, but it’s how the brand utilises the additional elements which brings it all together beautifully. Used on it’s own, the logo could have really formed a bland and uninspiring brand identity for Metric Integra, but with a little ‘outside the box’ thinking it has become something fresh, exciting and memorable.
What do you think? Is this a good example of clever branding, or is it what you would have expected? Let us know below.
