Yonkers New Logo Contest

Seems like the City of Yonkers in New York is having a new logo contest entitled “YoLogo”, at least going by their Facebook page which offers up a public vote forum. The Mayor, Mike Spano has invited residents to go to the page and ‘like’ their favourite logo design concepts, the winner of which will be the new official logo. He states:
“We have received some great designs from residents taking pride in our city by showcasing Yonkers’ diversity, history and beauty. We are now inviting all residents to give their feedback on the design that best represents our city as its official logo.”
It’s a great idea, but calling every wannabe designer and non-designer alike over the age of 12 will surely result in undeveloped and essentially amateur results to form the face of your (presumably) proud city.
The winning logo design will adorn their website and promo materials, but not replace the official seal. What do you think? Would you choose any of these as your cities mark of identity?

If you are from Yonkers and are interested in voting, feel free to check out the rest of the options on their facebook page – is there a clear winner for their new logo contest?
